Brokeback Mountain

I'm counting the days down. I was just reading the heartfelt posts on the website www.brokebackmountainmovie.com and this one from SC really stuck with me:

"You know it's there, this love that you've experienced, you've shared. Secretly, so heartfelt, always understanding and knowing what feels so right is just so wrong to so many others. Always knowing you cannot return to what is real and true, feeling an obligation to maintain an image and continue down a path with which there is no hope for a happy future, and knowing you're lying to the world and to those who you care so much about. Having to hide to keep others out of the knowledge of what's really been going on, and having to keep to yourself something so sacred and true. Something so real.
And then finally coming to the realization of what is right for you, and what is meant for you, and not being able to share that with those you care about most.
Regardless of the situation, love is real. It's discovered, felt, experienced.
I know this story all too well. Peace be with others who share this feeling."

Just wanted to share it with you.. I can't wait to see this movie. I know I'm gonna be a big'ol mess by the time it's over though... Hope the theater is dark.. lol..

Friday again!

It's my favorite day of the week again! Friday! Yay!!! One more hour of work and my freedom begins! It should be a fun weekend with the 3 parties that we will be attending. Tonight our friend's mom is having her Xmas party at the Lake. She is a really cool lady with lots of cool friends. She's alot like I hope to be when I grow up. Tomorrow night our friend is having his annual "Festivus" party. It should be a blast with the "gag" gifts that we always exchange. This year we're taking a "love" pig and a "love" sheep.. Too bad we didn't get to try them out yet. Sunday afternoon my friend from work is having his party with lots of homemade eggnog.. Yum.. Yum..

It's finally warmed up outside. Our little icestorm is over. We only had a couple trees bent over from the ice in the woods behind the house. It was really slick this morning while I was driving in to work. I only slide once in the parking lot. Charlotte got off light as usual. The Western part of the state was seriously iced with a lot of power outages, trees down, etc.
I'm ready for it to warm up. It is up to the mid-40s now, so it feels pretty good outside.

I'm doing ok, despite my "fall from grace" in my healthy lifestyle. I've been really bad lately. Smoking, drinking, soaking up some diet coke, and other things which I'll leave up to your imagination have all been my vices. That is going to change right after Xmas.

Wuzzy's picks for the new residential hotspots!

High density turns me on! I'm such a city development freak!

It's Friday!

Yay!!!! I'm so ready for the weekend. I'm sitting here with 45 minutes left to go at work. I think I'll goof off and surf the internet until I get off.. I'm hoping for a nice relaxing weekend. This has been a crappy week with David sick again with tonsillitis. I've been so worried about him. I can't wait for him to get them taken out. Hopefully he will be rid of those little "buggers" within a few weeks.

My plans for this weekend are going out to eat, cleaning house, visiting my parents, and maybe putting up our Xmas tree to celebrate the life of trees around the world. Hehe.. Note it is artificial cause I'm not into killing innocent trees. Well at least that's what I celebrate on Dec 25! I've been on a major anti-Christian kick these last few weeks. My parents are getting pulled deeper and deeper into the Baptist Church. Uggg. It scares me! They have been so sheltered their entire life, I'm afraid that they will believe anything their preacher tells them. I told them that all I ask is that they keep an open mind and realize that there are millions of different views in the world.

I would love to know how my mom will take it if the topic of homosexuality ever comes up in church. Hopefully, she will stand up for my rights.

Blah.. Blah.. Blah..
